Bouncing and biking

Austin got to try some new activities recently: bouncing in a bounce house and going on bike rides.

Austin's little buddy, Ellia, had her 3-year birthday party at a bounce house place. Austin loved running around on the bouncy surface.

He thought about boxing, too, but this glove was a little bit too big for him.

One of the houses had a basketball hoop. Austin ran around saying, "ball, ball," until he could get one away from the other kids. He didn't make this basket, but he did much better than Mommy. I tried to dunk the basket and of course, I missed. Worse, the ball bounced off the rim and hit poor Austin in the face. Don't worry, he didn't get hurt. He was just a little bit scared.

We were both pretty tired after the party, but it was fun. Thanks, Ellia!

Austin recently started going on bike rides with Daddy.

Michael bought the bike trailer so he could get some exercise while spending time with Austin. We got Austin his own helmet, which he calls a "hat."

He may seem somber, but he loved it.

They'll be going on a lot more bike rides.
