Michael really wanted to give him a buzz cut with the clippers at home. But I was scared that Austin would squirm and his head might turn into a jagged mess. Michael used to scream his head off when he went to the barber as a kid, according to his mother. So, I think that had something to do with Michael's angst about taking Austin to get a haircut.
We ended up taking advice from my mom friends and took Austin to the kid salon. With a bucket of toys next to him, Austin was very content and sat still the entire time. He even got a certificate and balloon to go. (We only had our camera phone.)
