Going to Chicago parks

Chicago trip, part 3

Michael had limited time in Chicago. So, he invited friends and family members to come see us at the park during a two-hour window Sunday morning. He researched the parks online and found this cool, toddler-friendly park.

Austin, of course, loved this little train, which he could drive. "Drive" was one of his favorite words of the trip.

Michael joined him on the jungle gym.

Austin got to meet up with his little friend, Elle Greenstein, who is two weeks younger than him. You can see her climbing in the tunnel.

Austin tried to hug her, at my prompting. But this is right before he accidentally knocked her down.

Back to the train...

The Schwartz family -- Uncle Marty, Aunt Debbie, Cousin Jacki and Cousin-in-law Dan -- all wanted to see Austin. This is not our wagon, but Austin climbed in anyway.

Uncle Marty took him on this bouncy toy.

The Boyd family -- Joel, Jenn, Emily and Matthew -- also joined us. But we missed the photo op.

More driving for Austin...

The next day, Monday, was our last day. We had to fly out in the late afternoon. So, we wanted to make sure that Austin got some of his energy out and we stopped at this park. Austin got to play with Noni. He continually called for her, "Non-eye!"

Sad to say goodbye...

-Sarah
